Lorraine D. Glover is a New York City-based creative director, set designer, and visual artist. Her practice spans architecture, scenic design, visual art, experience design, and interactive media, often orbiting the intersection of hospitality and theatrical design. With a background in architecture and interiors, she approaches her projects with an environmental sensibility, always centering the guest, user, or audience experience, considering how one navigates the work and how one should feel throughout, letting the drama of the physical or digital space unfold. At the heart of her practice is a deep commitment to emotional resonance. She aims to help people feel seen, crafting work that is hyper-specific, idiosyncratic, and at times a little weird. Her process is thoughtful, her choices intentional.
Lorraine partners with brands, cultural institutions, and creatives across disciplines. She values strong collaboration, whether leading large-scale experience projects or embedding into a theatrical production, she strives to help create a supportive environment wherever she goes, extending that sense of guest experience and hospitality to her collaborators.
Currently, she is honing her craft as an independent creative, building a multidisciplinary practice that offers creative direction to a range of clients, partners, and collaborators. Alongside these partnerships, she is developing a series of original installations and scenic environments as part of an expansive, ongoing body of work.
Whether client or self-authored, her work is guided by a strong conceptual point of view and the desire to create experiences that feel human, soulful, and alive.
